Anniversary Weekend Special

I’ve been married for 5 years to a wonderful man.

I do think that being married to a feminist, and having him support and love me no matter what shape I fluctuate from and to (I do that a lot) has helped me to come to terms with the fact that I’m never going to be not fat and that’s ok. Don’t get me wrong he would never call me fat. That’s not his style.

I’m never going to be not fat and that’s ok.

Now I’m not saying you need to have a man in your life telling you that you look acceptable. Obviously you don’t, I just know that I was never happy with myself before I met him. I also know that a lot of the female influences on my life that did have a handle on living themselves – I met (and read) after him. So it’s hard to pinpoint exactly how I’ve been influenced, in which way, and in what order.

This brings me to the weekend and its various fat outfits.

Friday

anniversary-friday

On Friday we went out for our anniversary dinner almost immediately after work so I wore a day to night number.

I’m wearing my Africa Dress was a rare find from Yours. I used to go there first because I know I’m big but I would look at the clothes and think they all looked awful, because they were too “tenty” or monotonous. Usually black. This I found when I went to Yours as a last ditch attempt for anniversary number 2 and was pleasantly surprised to find something so colourful and fitting.

I’m also wearing a Brown Vest and Black Leggins from Primark.

Saturday

I’m wearing my Big Flowers Dress from Oasis. This Dress used to have sleeves but they were puffy and made my shoulders look manly so I chopped them off. I’m also wearing black leggings from Primark, my Tiger Belt which I bought in various parts from a charity shop, and a designs for hope necklace. This was until we got to London and I felt really underdressed and not “London” fashionable so my future sister-in-law lent me this Primark necklace.

Sunday

anniversary-sunday

Sunday was Harry Potter day! So I’m wearing black and yellow (black and yellow) because I’m a total Hufflepuff. I’m wearing my Black Sweater is from Dorothy Perkins, and my Black leggings from Primark. I’m wearing my go to shoes, my White Plimsoles.

I’m also wearing my Yellow Skirt from Roxy which I bought at a crazy outlet store once. I’ve worn it probably 4 times in about 5 years. I like it but how often do you need a Yellow Skirt? So there’s my weekend worth of outfits. Hope it was worth the wait.
